Registration is closed for this session.
In this workshop, we will discuss what actually happens at academic conference poster sessions and speaker presentations. You will learn about local, regional, and national undergraduate conferences where you might present your work, such as the National Conference for Undergraduate Research, the National Honors Conference, and the Texas State Undergraduate Research Conference. We will read examples of conference calls for proposals (CFPs) and we will look at successful conference proposals written by Texas State University students. Finally, we will discuss alternative options for sharing your research in a public way, such as publishing papers in local, regional, or national undergraduate academic journals.
You will leave this workshop with a workable draft of your own conference proposal and a list of undergraduate conferences where you might send your written proposal.
