Topic:
11/12/2014 Accommodating for Learning Disability in Foreign Language Study (Online Webinar)
Description:

Foreign language coursework can pose a unique challenge to those students with a learning disability. As increasing focus is placed on what “reasonable” accommodations may be of assistance, as well as when universities should consider a course substitution, many faculty members feel unprepared or unsure of how to handle those requests. In this webinar we will discuss learning disabilities, reasonable accommodations, resources, and the Office of Disability Services’ own internal protocol for supporting foreign language course substitution requests.

Note: Directions for joining the webinar via your computer or phone will be sent to your Texas State email account two days before the event.
